Kalpana graduated with a degree in pharmacy and did her Post Graduation in Public Health from University of Texas, Houston. Ms. Harish serves as both the Administrative Director for the Division of Transplant Surgery and the Director of the Abdominal Transplant Research program.  In the role as the Administrative Director of Transplant Surgery, she is responsible for the leadership, planning, support, and administrative infrastructure for the Division; and the development and implementation of the strategic planning necessary to further its mission. As the Director of the Research Program, she is primarily responsible for providing sophisticated support (clinical, administrative, and regulatory) to PIs from preparation of grants including collection, collation, analysis of project related materials and documents including assessment of Budgetary requirements supported by suitable justifications. Her main focus is to optimize the operations of the research team through proactive and coordinated effort with Finance Analyst, Project Managers, Doctors and nurses, internal Administration as well as PIs/Industry for effective progress and implementation of the clinical projects as envisaged/sanctioned and to enhance the visibility and reputation of the Division’s robust Research Program. Kalpana has a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and Master’s degree in Public Health.
